Hostia was born from a frustration — and an opportunity.
Chloé, French, and Alex, French-Romanian, met in business school. Since then, they've traveled extensively together and stayed in hundreds of apartments around the world — some memorable experiences, some disappointing ones — but always the same observation: what sets an exceptional stay apart from an ordinary one is rarely the property itself. It's its management.
A lock that works. A welcome message that arrives at the right time. Flawless bedding. A guide that makes you want to explore. Details. But details that change everything.
Coming back to Cluj, Alex's hometown, they saw a fast-growing rental market, fueled by international festivals and rising tourist demand — and a management offering that hadn't kept up. Overwhelmed owners, disappointed guests, underused apartments.
That's where Hostia took shape.
We wanted to build the concierge service we wish we had found — as travelers, and as owners.
Premium. Selective. Human.
Hostia isn't built to grow fast. It's built to last. We believe quality can't coexist with haste, and that an owner's trust is earned — not promised.
That's why we deliberately keep a low properties-per-manager ratio. Few properties, a lot of attention. Every owner is a partner, not a portfolio line.
And every guest deserves to find what they were promised.
We know this city. Really.
Alex grew up here. Chloé adopted it. Together, we know the neighborhoods that perform, the events that spike demand, the trusted vendors, the places worth sending guests to.
